he cribs all day and night
he beats her during the fight
with bruises he starts her days
and curses her in all possible ways
still he says she's the partner for his life...
still he claims, she's his wife!!
he goes with her to bed
he ignores every tear she sheds
he presses her wounds till they're red
treats her like she's a living dead
never gives a notice to her strife...
still he claims, she's his wife!!
she cannot do anything about it
can't even think of raising her voice even a bit
she can't refute even if she's raped by him
coz she's married, so he has a right on her skin
her life is like walking on the edge of a knife
still he claims, she's his wife!!
(this is based on the scenarios in many houses even today...rural or urban, it doesn' matter anymore.... and i scoff at those women and their grown up kids who don't rebel against domestic violence.... its time that those many Indian women shall go n get some guts...)
